Business Development and Marketing Intern

We are seeking an intern who can participate in various projects related to research, social media, and sales campaigns. The ideal candidate should be prepared to work in a startup environment and will finish the internship having gained broad experience in various aspects of business development, client prospecting, outreach and strategic planning for the non-profit sector. The intern will be expected to spend approximately 15 hours per week on tasks related to the internship. This is a summer internship; however, selected candidates may have the opportunity to extend the internship into the academic year.

Responsibilities
• Assist in the creation of marketing campaigns, blog promotion, advertising with relevant organizations, etc.
• Research RFP/RFQ from relevant agencies and help prepare applications
• Research and help prepare applications for certifications and seed funding
• Assist in the distribution or delivery of hard copy marketing materials and vendor display
• Assist with fulfillment of marketing offers
• Assist with research on potential clients
• Assist with the preparation and delivery of in-person curriculum and training materials
• Prepare presentations
 •Maintain tracking report and research on events, conferences and other networking sources

Requirements
Mockingbird Analytics is looking for an undergraduate student in the Los Angeles area who is majoring in Business Administration, Marketing, Planning, Public Affairs/Public Policy, or Communications. This person should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with knowledge of relevant business and client development strategies. PowerPoint, Word and Excel experience is a bonus, and will be considered when choosing the best applicant for this internship position.

Compensation
This is an unpaid internship position, and the intern will not be entitled to any wages, benefits or other compensation. However, the company will reimburse reasonable travel expenses related to the internship via a set monthly stipend. The intern will receive experience and education in the skills and fields described above, and will be provided close supervision and feedback.

Data and Analytics Intern

We are seeking an intern who can participate in various projects related to data, analytics, research and reporting. The ideal candidate should be prepared to work in a startup environment and will finish the internship having gained broad experience in various aspects of project management, evaluation and outcomes, grant writing and development aimed at organizations in the non-profit sector. The intern will be expected to spend approximately 15 hours per week on tasks related to the internship. This is a summer internship; however, selected candidates may have the opportunity to extend the internship into the academic year.

Responsibilities
• Assist in the creation of databases and report writing
• Assist in data cleanup and in the importing of data into a new database
• Assist with basic analytics for clients
• Assist with original and outcomes-based research for clients
• Research and help develop survey-based tools for various non-profit organizations
• Draft and prepare grant applications

Requirements
Mockingbird Analytics is looking for an undergraduate student in the Los Angeles area who is majoring in Marketing, Public Health, Planning, Public Affairs/Public Policy, Political Science, Sociology or a related field. This person should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with knowledge of Access databases, basic statistical reporting, PowerPoint, Word and Excel. Information or graphic design experience is a bonus, and will be considered when choosing the best applicant for this internship position.

Graphic Design/Illustration Intern

We seek an intern who can contribute to various projects related to graphic design, illustration and data visualization. The ideal candidate should be prepared to work in a startup environment, and will finish the internship having gained experience in various aspects of digital design, data visualization, marketing, and business development. The intern will be expected to spend approximately 15 hours per week on tasks related to the internship. This is a summer internship, however selected candidates may have the opportunity to extend the internship into the academic year.

Responsibilities
Assist in the design of new marketing materials
Assist in the modification/improvement of existing marketing materials
Assist with the creation of data visualization tools and templates
Assist in the creation of marketing campaigns, blog promotion, social media campaigns, web development, etc.
Assist with the design of web-based curriculum and training materials
Assist with publishing an e-book
Provide support to social media efforts

Requirements
Mockingbird Analytics is looking for an undergraduate student in the Los Angeles area who is majoring in Graphic Design, Illustration, Marketing or Communications. This person should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with working knowledge of digital design, illustration, photo editing and new media skillsets. Experience with graphic design software, such as Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, or Illustrator, is expected and will be strongly considered when choosing the best applicant for this internship position.
